Terms of Service

Last updated: June 17, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By installing or using ShieldX (the "Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the Extension.

2. License to use

ShieldX is provided to you free of charge for personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, sublicense, or misrepresent the Extension as your own.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use ShieldX in compliance with all applicable laws and with the terms of the websites you visit. You are responsible for how you use the Extension.

4. No warranty

ShieldX is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Ad-blocking technology is inherently imperfect: we do not guarantee that every ad, pop-up, or tracker will be blocked, or that the Extension will be uninterrupted or error-free.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShieldX and ZXC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Extension.

6. Trademarks & affiliation

ShieldX is an independent product by ZXC. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to Google LLC, YouTube, or any other company, browser, or website it may interact with. All product names, logos, and brands are property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.

7. Third-party filter lists & attribution

To identify ads and trackers, ShieldX makes use of publicly maintained community filter lists. We gratefully acknowledge their authors and comply with their licenses:

Filter lists are used unmodified in substance to determine what to block and are not endorsements by their authors of this Extension.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
